Summary: Truth or Dare?


Following up on an idea she had had a few days ago, Kirby had slipped small notes into people's rooms before she had goen down to the bar, inviting them to join her in the bar for drinks and a game to better get to know each other - considering they were living in the same place, after all.

Now she was sitting at the bar over a glass of beer, playing with the empty bottle. Jan sat across from her at the table. She had not informed him of the game she had planned, but simply invited him for a drink. He didn't seem the type that would purposefully seek entertaiment.

Rose was still rubbing Raphael's back but listened intently to the woman. She'd heard others at the school talk about 'Truth or Dare' in passing but she'd never played and didn't know the rules.

Not taking her hands from her friends back she turned her head towards the woman.

"I don't know the rules either. How do you play the game?"

"The rules are easy," Kirby said. "We put together a few tables so we'll all fit around. Then we put an empty bottle in the middle. I spin it and the one it points at when it comes to rest gets to say "truth" or "dare". Then if they say truth I ask them a question and they must answer truthfully. For dare, I set them a task and they must do that. Then they get to spin."

She turned towards Gabriel. "Do you promise not to abuse such amn exemption?"

"What happens if you don't do the task?" Belial cut in, smirking.

"Then everyone will know you for a spoilsport and a liar," Kirby said.

Rose wasn't sure she liked what she heard. People asking question could be awkward.

She looked up at Raphael an asked

"What do you think?"

After all they had wanted to meet here so he could tell her about his stay in Venice...
