(no subject)

Date: May 30, evening
Location: Bar
Status: Public! Come and arrive, we're playing.
Summary: Truth or Dare?

Following up on an idea she had had a few days ago, Kirby had slipped small notes into people's rooms before she had goen down to the bar, inviting them to join her in the bar for drinks and a game to better get to know each other - considering they were living in the same place, after all.

Now she was sitting at the bar over a glass of beer, playing with the empty bottle. Jan sat across from her at the table. She had not informed him of the game she had planned, but simply invited him for a drink. He didn't seem the type that would purposefully seek entertaiment.

Rose followed Raphael, inhaling deeply. No, the cake didn't smell like something she'd want to eat.

She stood behind Raphael and started first petting and then softly grooming his tiny wings. How she had missed this. Pity she couldn't just change into Cloud here afterwards.

Turning her head to the woman she asked

"Something to know each other better? What kind of game would that be?"

Raphael made a sound of contentment, pressing the still-growing limbs into her hands. Even the feathers were still more fuzz than feathers but wing grooming was something he enjoyed greatly.

He wanted to tell Rose he had meatballs... Large, carefully picked out balls of Italian sausage just waiting for her, but the less people knew about her eating habits the better. He remembered hiding how raw the steak really was at his dinner party and still hoping no one would ask her about it.

Jarod had been quite unsure about what to wear to the meeting with games and drink that he was invited to. Formal dinner parties were one thing. Meetings at the bar could go anywhere from quite formal to extremely casual. He settled for black jeans and a t-shirt, covered by a shirt he could always quickly button or take off all the way if need be.

Thus attired, he went down to join whover was there already.

It was quite a crowd, although by far not as many yet as there had been at the dinner party. Two of the were angels, and he saw Skovasja and, of course, the hostess. Joe behind the bar, and the girl who cleaned and held the reception desk part of the time.

"I'll try that lime juice you mentioned, Joe," he told the bartender as a quickly waved at the others, then slid into a chair at Kirby's table. "How is everyone?"
lordofsin: (so easy to push that shirt off isn't it)

Belial was dressed in form-fitting black as usual; his boots echoed slightly across the lobby as he made his way to the bar. The evening's activities sounded like fun; informal occasions and alcohol often loosened people's tongues, and it was always good to have information about people. You never knew when you might need it.

He paused in the doorway for a moment, taking in the attendance and grinning at Raphael and Rose, before moving to the table at which Gabriel sat together with a few others; if all else failed, he could always entertain himself by annoying the Messenger.

"Good evening," He nodded to Gabriel, Jan and Jarod, before extending his hand to the blonde woman with a smile. "I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you before. My name is Belial."

Gabriel half-rose to bow to Jarod before remembering that He wouldn't like it. "Doing well, Lo - er, Jarod."

He nodded curtly to Belial, hoping the demon would focus on the others, and waved to Joe.

"Good evening, Joe! Might I have a glass of red wine, please? Thank you."

He watched Rose and Raphael curiously. Other angels weren't nearly as protective of their wings as he was, of course, but still... He trusts her a lot, it seems.

Rose nodded to Mr. Russell and Belial, still stroking Raphael's tiny wings. The soft feathers reminded her a lot of the soft fur on a pup's belly and she began to softly tickle the wings, smiling when they flapped out of her grasp for a moment, only to be pressed back into it.

She stroked and groomed the wings for a bit longer before she let her hands stray to Raphael's back between and around the wings, carefully, tentatively stroking the sensitive skin there. Rose was watching and feeling for her friend's reaction, prepared to go back to stroking his wings if he gave her a sign that backrubbing wasn't welcome.

The backrubbing was, in fact, very welcome. The closest way to explain it to a human was that having wings growing in was the equivilent to having their wisdom teeth growing. The skin feels especially sensitive, even sore especially around the base.

He let her know it was okay by pressing into her fingers, hand still on the box. He nodded to each as they entered. "What game are we playing?" he asked.

Atlan ventured downstairs slightly amused. "Drinks and games" reminded him somewhat of "bread and circuses". if anything, it would considerably ease his boredom.

He entered the bar, indicated his order to Joe with a quick gesture, nodded vaguely at everyone and stood aside to see what people were doing.

Jan greeted Russel and Belial and returned the white haired stranger's nod.

The man with the little wings made him nervous, though they were probably just some weird party trick meant to entertain them, so he inched away from him trying not to be too obvious about it.

Joe served everyone their drinks. This was going to be one profitable night for him. His bar had never been this well-filled before.

Duncan and Methos came down to the bar together, Duncan surreptitiously checking his hair. He stopped when he noticed Methos' glance. So the lady who had invited them was hot. So he wasn't that desperate, right?

They entered the bar, where the conversations among the people present, although not deliberately loud, already formed a very noticable basic noise level.

Apparently it was his fate to come too late to Kirby's meetings at the bar every single time. Well, no reason to break a habit.

He arrived at the bar just a moment after two of the other guests entered. The place was fuller than he had ever seen it before. He tossed a cheery greeting in Joe's direction, then moved to take a place at Kirby's table.

"What are we playing?" he asked.

Gabriel nearly choked on a mouthful of wine. "Er. Nothing too, ahem, outlandish when it comes to dares, I hope."

[identity profile] jarodrussel.livejournal.com 2011-01-29 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't think we played that where I'm from," Jarod said. "What are the rules?"

"There are things angels simply shouldn't say or do," Gabriel explained to Kirby, avoiding Belial's amused look. "It could get us into trouble. Do we reserve the right to say no and request another?"

He was about to add that Jarod probably should be careful too when he remembered the Son's tales of previous jobs at Raphael's dinner party, and focused on not blushing.

[identity profile] roseheerkens.livejournal.com 2011-01-29 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Rose was still rubbing Raphael's back but listened intently to the woman. She'd heard others at the school talk about 'Truth or Dare' in passing but she'd never played and didn't know the rules.

Not taking her hands from her friends back she turned her head towards the woman.

"I don't know the rules either. How do you play the game?"
lordofsin: (best to keep me pleased)

[personal profile] lordofsin 2011-01-29 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"What happens if you don't do the task?" Belial cut in, smirking.

[identity profile] roseheerkens.livejournal.com 2011-01-29 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Rose wasn't sure she liked what she heard. People asking question could be awkward.

She looked up at Raphael an asked

"What do you think?"

After all they had wanted to meet here so he could tell her about his stay in Venice...
