Belial was sitting in the center of a forest of full liquor bottles, picking each one up and scrutinizing the label before placing it on one of the lighted display shelves.
Angels. He fought not to grind his teeth when he felt them enter. There was only so much he could take of that poisonously acrid scent of Heaven before he started making a fool of himself and sneezing.
He stood and straightened his shirt, then leaned over the serving stations and propped his elbow on the draft beer taps. Gabriel and -- that odd little smudge of an angel that had been dashing about with the frantic demon in the lobby. Belial hadn't caught their names, but he tilted his head and gave the two of them a more-than-welcoming smile.
