Two friends at the bar
Date: May 19th, early evening
Location: The bar
Status: Private (Rose, Raphael, Joe)
Summary: Rose needs to talk to Raphael
Rose led Raphael downstairs and into the bar, where she picked a table in a nice little corner. From there she'd see and hear anyone who might be approaching. She really didn't want to be overheard when she told her friend about meeting Belial this morning.
Satisfied with the chosen table she waited for Raphael to sit down and then remembered that they should probably order something to drink as they were at the bar. She turned around to see if Joe was behind the bar as she had only concentrated on finding a suitable table upon entering.

"I don't even know what he did there. I waited quite some time after I'd first smelled him, hoping he'd just go away. I don't know why he stayed. So now he thinks I like to walk through the woods naked. I though you should know, in case he ever comments on it. You know, so you don't look surprised which might be suspicious as we're friends..."
She knew she was babbling, but at least she'd managed to keep her voice low.

Rose smiled at the man and took a small sip from her glass of water. It felt good to have Raphael's arm around her and she could stay here forever. Some additional grooming would be nice, but they couldn't do that at the bar...
"No, he didn't. I made sure I was far enough away" she told Raphael in a low voice.

"There's no reason for you to be sorry. I'll just have to be more careful from now on.
And please don't forget that I obviously enjoy running through the woods naked, in case Belial should ever comment on it..."
Her face was pulled into a grimace for a moment. Being thought to be a nudist wasn't exactly what she preferred, but she had no issues with nakedness and this explanation was much preferable to the truth...

As the hours passed, Raphael listened tirelessly and honestly enjoyed her company. He smiled gently at her. "Perhaps when my brothers let me return to my own room you can come by. I still have the brush you like." He smiled as he set aside his empty cup and began fishing in his pocket for the money and a generous tip to include.

When she saw him fishing in his pocket she put one hand over his and slightly shook her head.
"I asked you to come down here, so I'm paying."
She didn't have that much money and she was saving as much of it as possible for her ticket back to Canada, but it had been her who'd needed to talk to Raphael right now, so she was the reason he even was at the bar now and she would pay for what they drank. It wouldn't be fair to her friend to let him pay.
Raphy's out after this <3
He realized he didn't want to go, but his brother would start worrying. He smiled at her one more time before leaving.

Then she signaled to Joe that she wanted to pay, took her wallet out of her jeans pocket and waited.

"Are you going to pay for his hot chocolate?" he wanted to know.
no subject
"Yes, I invited him here so I'm going to pay. What do I owe you?"
no subject
"The water's free for you," he said.

Rose handed Joe the price plus what she'd been taught was a polite tip - not extremely much, but enough to most certainly not be impolite - , still smiling.
She drained the last bit of water from the glass and then got up. She intended to go for a short walk on the manor grounds before going to bed, so she wished Joe a nice evening and left.
