Date/Time: 23rd May, late afternoon
Place: Lobby
Status:public
Summary: Anubis checks in
Anubis looked up at the Manor, it was a lot nicer then most of the places he stayed in on his trip round Europe. Perfect place to rest up before moving on, and hay if things proved interesting he could always hang around a while, after all he wasn't in a rush. Shifting his bag he made his way up the steps and through the door.

When both men approached the desk, Rose smiled and greeted them.
"Belial."
A small nod of her head. She didn't like the demon but that didn't mean she could be impolite to a guest of the manor. She turned to the stranger.
"Welcome to Lower Tadfield, sir. I'm Rose Heerkens. How can I help you?"
no subject
He gave the girl a warm smile, "nice to meet you Miss Heerkens, I looking to get a room."

Rose smiled at the stranger with teeth hidden behind her lips.
"We have three different kind of rooms, sir. On the first floor the rooms are quite big and have a king size bed and a bathroom with a bathtub. The rooms on the second floor are slightly smaller with only a single bed but still have a tub in the bathroom. And the rooms on the third floor have a single bed and a bathroom with a shower in it. Those are the smallest rooms but they have a nice view.
What kind of room would you prefer, sir?"

Rose had checked the list of occupied rooms and that one was still free. Not many people had rooms up there at the moment. She took a form (http://mitglied.multimania.de/rickyzehrer/The%20Tadfield%20Manor%20Hotel.pdf) from the folder and handed it to the new guest.
"Please fill in this form, sir."

After checking his pockets he gave Rose a sheepish grin. "You don't have a pen do you? I seem to have lost mine"
no subject
"Here, take this one."
Then she went to the board where all the keys were and took the one for 303 down, keeping it in her hand for the moment as she returned to her desk.

Taking the offered pen Anubis started to fill out the form, trying, and failing, to ignore the grinning demon beside him.
He had a horrible feeling that Belial wouldn't forget his inbuilt dislike for baths any time soon.

The feel of Anubis's aura brought back memories of sun and sand and pyramids and the Nile, of the scent of papyrus flowers and incense. He missed Egypt; he'd have to go back there one day, though it would never be the same as it had been in the days of the Pharaohs.
He wondered how Anubis and the rest of his pantheon felt, if a visitor felt this much, but he wasn't about to ask.
[ooc: form on journal page]
"Anything else Miss Heerkens?"
no subject
"No, that's all for checking in. Here's your room key. I can show you upstairs to your room if you'd like.
One thing's left though. As several of our guests prefer their privacy we don't enter occupied rooms unless invited. If you want your room cleaned, you need to put a sign on your door. You'll find the sign on the door handle on the inside. One side of the sign is the usual 'Do not disturb', which is somewhat self-explanatory, and the other side shows a bucket and a mop. If you put the sign on the outer door handle with the latter side showing, I'll come clean your room. As soon as I'm done I'll put the sign back on the door handle inside."
no subject
"I'll keep that in mind."
Anubis turned to face Belial, "Where should I meet you for that drink?"

He made his way towards the bar.

She walked around her desk and to the stairs, then turned around to Anubis.
"If you'd follow me please, sir?"
no subject
Turning to where Rose waited Anubis made his way over to her.
"Lead on Miss Heerkens"
no subject
"I don't want to seem rude or something, sir, but did you tell Belial that you'd find him by following his scent?"

They were still climbing stairs and she looked back at him over her shoulder.
"In case you like to go hunting in your other form you might want to know that some inhabitants have pet animals that are not to be harmed."
no subject
He wondered for a moment if the staff knew that they were serving supernatural beings or not. He hoped they did.
Anubis gave her a smile,"Oh don't worry about them I'm more of a... scavenger."
no subject
"I know, but I've mostly had contacts with humans in my life. At least before I came here and met angels and demons and so on..."
Well, she'd met more humans than wer, but only in numbers, because she had spent most of her time with the pack. And of course she'd met Henry.
When Mr. Delta told her he was a scavenger her brow furrowed.
"A scavenger? Isn't that boring? And isn't prey best when freshly killed?"
Sure, she couldn't always hunt fresh food when she was hungry, but just the tension of a hunt, the rewarding feeling of a kill...
no subject
"Well it can be," he smiled as sheepishly as his nature allowed, "but the food the priests left was quite fresh, and I do hunt occasionally. I just don't get much time to."
no subject
"What do you normally do all day that consumes so much of you time that you can't go hunting?" she asked, genuinely curious.
