"Neither do I," Gabriel replied, brushing an errant strand of red hair off Raphael's forehead. "I don't like that I can't trust him, but he simply isn't himself."

He shifted to sit next to Michael. "And although I'd usually trust you with anything else, I don't when it comes to your injuries, so you'll have to excuse me for wanting to check on them myself." Reaching out to take one of Michael's hands, Gabriel lightly ran a thumb over the palm. The scar there was almost fully gone.
