"Sure," Murdoc said as he followed Joe to one of the small, round tables. He glanced back at the white-haired man. "You coming?"
"Sure," Atlan said, getting up and walking over to the table with the two others. "What are we playing?"
Joe sat at the table and started shuffling the cards.
"Poker?" he suggested.
"Sounds just perfect."
Murdoc slid into a chair across from Joe.
"I hope that Adam doesn't mind gambling," Atlan said as he sat as well.
"We can always agree on giving the money back," Murdoc suggested.
"Let's start."
Joe dealt the cards, thinking of his poker nights with some other watchers. He wouldn't mind making this a regular meeting.
It was late by the time they finished playing and broke up the round.
Atlan tossed money for his wine and a nice tip on the table.
"Keep your winnings," he told Joe. "And before we next play, you'll have to tell me how you do it."
"No way," Joe said. "I like to win."
