(no subject)
Time: May 7, 2003
Place: The Sitting Room
Status: Complete (Jan)
Summary: Jan looks for company, but finds something else.
Hiding in his room was boring and Jan was still pretty sure that the manor itself was safe, but going to the bar where he'd meet Mr. Dawson and possibly also McLeod was not an option.
The sitting room that Miss Heerkens had shown him yesterday had looked very inviting, though and so Jan decided to wander down there and see whether there was anybody there playing board games or music.
Jan himself didn't play an instrument, but he liked listening to others play and he was certainly up for a game or two.
There was nobody there when he arrived, though. He considered getting pen and paper and writing a letter to a friend in Germany explaining his sudden disappearance, but he didn't feel like struggling with his penmanship again. That left only one option. With a slight frown of dismay he turned on the TV and flipped through the channels to see what was on.
"The Antiques Roadshow?" Why those crazy Brits! Did people actually watch this? The items on the screen brought on all sorts of memories, not all of them good, but at least he'd still been whole back then.
And what was this, actual working pistols that were perfectly legal to own in England? Well, this was good to know. Now all Jan had to do was figure out how to leave the manor long enough to visit an antiques shop without McLeod noticing his absence.
