 Time: May 6, 2003
Place: The Lobby
Status: Public, open
Summary: The Doctor arrives at the Manor

Following Duncan, The Doctor let his mind wander. How was he supposed to fix the TARDIS? He assumed the hotel was in or near a little village, you don't find many open fields and country roads near the city. He might be able to manage if there was a hardware store.

And then there was the manner of money. He had none. He'd have to sonic an ATM. Oh, he hated that. Never seemed fair, but you had to do what you had to do.

Finally, they arrived at the hotel, which wasn't what he had been expecting. He turned toward Duncan, "Do you know who should I see for a room?"

"A phone booth?" Adam asked. "Eh - does he have money where he comes from? What's he doing with a phone booth? Wait - I was just about to come over anyway. I think I want to see that."

That was a lie. He had had no intention of going to the manor. Well, plans were made to be changed after all.

"Alright, we'll wait for you. Bye."

Rose didn't want to make the new guest wait, but it was Adam's decision. So she smiled at the man.

"Adam will be here shortly. He was on his way anyway and will talk to you personally. I apologize for the delay. Would you like to choose a room now or do you want to wait until you know if you can stay for free?"

"Good. We have three different kinds of rooms here. On the first floor are the biggest roomes with a king sized bed and a bathtub in the bathroom each. The rooms on the second floor are a bit smaller with only a single bed but they still have a bathtub. The smallest rooms are those on the third floor with a single bed and only a shower. But those rooms would also be the most quiet as most public rooms are on the ground floor."

Rose smiled at the newcomer, wanting to give him a moment to think. Then she remembered his last question.

"Yes, Adam. He's in charge here, and your phone booth got him curious I guess. So he'll talk to you personally. He's also the one to decide if you fall under the definition of supernatural."

Any preferences concerning the room number?

"Your phonebooth has a name? But yes, someone showing up wanting to have his phonebooth towed to the hotel makes people curious I guess..."

Rose went over the documents to find a free and freshly cleaned room on the third floor and then handed the new guest the necessary forms and a pen.

"You could fill in these until Adam arrives. If you don't mind. It'll have to be done anyway, no matter if you're supernatural or not..."

Adam didn't exactly race over to the manor. He didn't want anyone to think he was that anxious to get there.

Still, wherne he arrived, he took a moment to draw his fingers to his hair, hoping he didn't look too disshevelled or anything.

He pusehd open the door to the lobby and stepped inside.

Rose was at the reception desk, and there was a man standing across from her.

"Hi," he said to both of them and gave Rose a bright smile before addressing the man. "Are you the guy with the phonebooth?"

"Hi Adam", Rose replied with a smile. "I'm glad you're here, really."

And she was. That way, she wouldn't have to decide in this strange situation.
