Time: May 6, 2003
Place: The Lobby
Status: Public, open
Summary: The Doctor arrives at the Manor
Following Duncan, The Doctor let his mind wander. How was he supposed to fix the TARDIS? He assumed the hotel was in or near a little village, you don't find many open fields and country roads near the city. He might be able to manage if there was a hardware store.
And then there was the manner of money. He had none. He'd have to sonic an ATM. Oh, he hated that. Never seemed fair, but you had to do what you had to do.
Finally, they arrived at the hotel, which wasn't what he had been expecting. He turned toward Duncan, "Do you know who should I see for a room?"

That was a lie. He had had no intention of going to the manor. Well, plans were made to be changed after all.

Rose didn't want to make the new guest wait, but it was Adam's decision. So she smiled at the man.
"Adam will be here shortly. He was on his way anyway and will talk to you personally. I apologize for the delay. Would you like to choose a room now or do you want to wait until you know if you can stay for free?"

"Well, I will be staying here either way, so I might as well pick a room."
He would have to stay, there was nowhere else he could go. And even if he couldn't stay for free he had means to get money to pay.
"Adam?"

Rose smiled at the newcomer, wanting to give him a moment to think. Then she remembered his last question.
"Yes, Adam. He's in charge here, and your phone booth got him curious I guess. So he'll talk to you personally. He's also the one to decide if you fall under the definition of supernatural."

He smiled. He'd like to meet this Adam.
"Ah, alright. When a man with a phonebooth turns up out of nowhere, it does get people talking."
Any preferences concerning the room number?
Rose went over the documents to find a free and freshly cleaned room on the third floor and then handed the new guest the necessary forms and a pen.
"You could fill in these until Adam arrives. If you don't mind. It'll have to be done anyway, no matter if you're supernatural or not..."
Nope, none.
And, if he hadn't diagreed with the bloody manual and done that, he wouldn't be here. And here seemed like an adventure. For now, at least. He began to fill out the forms, signing in the correct places, then handed it back to her.
Re: Nope, none.
Still, wherne he arrived, he took a moment to draw his fingers to his hair, hoping he didn't look too disshevelled or anything.
He pusehd open the door to the lobby and stepped inside.
Rose was at the reception desk, and there was a man standing across from her.
"Hi," he said to both of them and gave Rose a bright smile before addressing the man. "Are you the guy with the phonebooth?"
Sorry for late reply, Dad's been in the hospital
He was younger than he expected, but his eyes seemed too old for his face. He knew those eyes well, ones that had seen more than anyone would believe.

And she was. That way, she wouldn't have to decide in this strange situation.
