Time: May 4th 2003
Place: Outside
Status: Public
Summary: Dustfinger's show

Dustfinger was relieved when he was back outside. No one had tried to chase him away.
Without official permission there was a small risk that they would try to make him to leave back his things if they wanted him to go fast. although no one had tried that in this country yet.

When they were outside he chose a spot on the grass where he would not risk putting something on fire. He put his bag at the side, close to the fence. Then he took off his coat again and put it over the fence. He did the same with the no longer white shirt he wore beneath and the scarf that he had wrapped around his neck.

The black knit pullover he still wore was torn at the collar and on the front but he only took it off when he was ready to light his tools. You could brush fire off from skin easily. The real danger came from clothes catching fire. At home he had often performed in a performer's clothes but his had long fallen apart here.

He started taking things from his bag and looked back over his shoulder to the young man Arty. "Find a place to sit", he advised him.

He put out all he would need. Then he stripped off the black pullover as well and took up the first juggling tools he would use for the show.

For a moment he stood there only in black jeans and with a leather necklace with a tooth around his neck that he never took off. He held both tools in one hand and lighted the ends that were supposed to burn with the other. He had that much control over fire even here. Although fire in this world was much fiercer than in his book.

He nodded to his watcher. Then he started twirling the fire around in increasingly difficult patterns.
