Loki realized that Barnaby had shot from overhead, and bit back a curse. If those oversized birds took to the air, he would be at quite some disadvantage! He hated that feeling. Certainly, he could fly after them, but then he'd have to leave the marker behind and that certainly wouldn't do!

Then again, thinking in terms of possible allies, flying people weren't the worst option, and if they did take the fight to the air, he could watch and learn about their speed and maneuverability in the air, and anything else that might be interested in true combat.
